Shimabuku: Moon Rabbit
Japanese artist Shimabuku observed that the same moon can be seen from everywhere despite its inaccessibility. Leading him to the working title for this project of -You can go somewhere invisible, but sometimes it is hard going somewhere visible.
The moon grows & shrinks while morphing into exaggerations of what various cultures see in the moon (“the man in the moon”, "a rabbit making rice cakes", "a frog and a rabbit", etc).
